Shreeya Lakkapragada, a 22-year-old scholar from Hyderabad, has been awarded the prestigious 2026 Louis and Ida Tatelman Scholarship at Harvard University. She was selected as the only student across Harvard University to receive the honor this year.

Lakkapragada, who is currently pursuing her postgraduate studies at Harvard, has been trained under Dexterity's National Scholar Development Program (NSDP) since her high school years in Hyderabad.

Her academic track record includes securing a full scholarship worth Rs. 2.7 crores in 2022 to attend Wellesley College in the United States for a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. She completed her undergraduate degree and graduated from Wellesley College in May 2026 before transitioning to postgraduate study.

Earlier this year, as a Dexterity to College Fellow, Lakkapragada received admission offers from all five of the world's leading universities she applied to for postgraduate education: Harvard University, Oxford University, Yale University, the University of Pennsylvania, and Johns Hopkins University. She ultimately decided to join Harvard University.

Speaking on the recognition, Lakkapragada noted the significance of the award. "It is the honour of a lifetime to be the only student at Harvard University to be awarded the prestigious Tatelman Scholarship," she said.
