Hyderabad Police Commissionerates Celebrate Telangana State Formation Day
On Tuesday, June 2, 2026, the Hyderabad, Cyberabad, Malkajgiri, and Future City Police Commissionerates celebrated Telangana State Formation Day with official ceremonies. Senior police officials across these jurisdictions hoisted the National Flag, paid tribute to Telangana martyrs, and highlighted key achievements in policing, technology adoption, and public service.
In Hyderabad, Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar unfurled the National Flag at the City Armed Reserve Headquarters. After hoisting the flag, Commissioner Sajjanar paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the creation of Telangana.
Speaking on the occasion, Sajjanar highlighted the major achievements of the Hyderabad Police. He stated that the department has successfully introduced several artificial intelligence (AI) powered initiatives. These technological advancements include programs such as ‘C-Mitra’, ‘AI Cop-Writer’, and ‘SOC-EYE’.
Additionally, Sajjanar emphasized that the Hyderabad Police has actively strengthened its enforcement operations, particularly in the areas of cybercrime and anti-drug initiatives.
At the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate parade grounds, Cyberabad Police Commissioner M Ramesh hoisted the National Flag to mark the statehood day. Addressing the gathering, Ramesh stressed that the police force plays a vital role in the overall development of Telangana by ensuring safety and security.
Ramesh noted that Cyberabad remains one of the fastest-growing regions in the country. He praised the consistent contributions of the police personnel in maintaining a conducive and safe environment, which he said is essential for ongoing growth and investment.
Meanwhile, Future City Police Commissioner Tarun Joshi led the celebrations in his commissionerate. During the event, Joshi called upon all police officers and staff to uphold discipline, dedication, and a strong commitment to public service.
A similar celebratory event was organized at the Malkajgiri Police Commissionerate to mark the occasion. Across the different commissionerates, service medals were presented to deserving police personnel in recognition of their dedication to duty.
