Hyderabad Police Book Man for Blackmailing Wife with Private Videos

Hyderabad police have booked a man for allegedly blackmailing, harassing, and threatening his wife by posting her private videos and photographs on social media platforms.

The action followed a complaint by the victim, who works as a teacher. She reported that her husband had been subjecting her to continuous mental harassment, which included posting obscene comments on Instagram and assassinating her character.

Police findings revealed that the accused had previously misused her private photographs on Facebook in 2022. He was recently threatening to post and circulate the private material again to intimidate her.

The victim approached law enforcement seeking stern action to prevent further humiliation and distress. Based on her formal complaint, the police registered a case against the husband and assured that strict legal action would follow.

Following the registration of the case, the accused switched off his mobile phone and is currently absconding. Police are making efforts to trace and apprehend him.
