Hyderabad Police Arrest Two Men for Supplying Beef as Mutton to Hotels

The Hyderabad police arrested two men for allegedly supplying beef under the guise of mutton to local hotels in Hyderabad, officials reported on July 2, 2026.

The two accused individuals have been identified by the authorities as Mohd Osman and Mohd Jahangir Pasha. Both men were taken into custody following investigations into the fraudulent meat supply operation in the city.

According to the police, the deception involved supplying beef to various local eateries while misrepresenting it as mutton. The hotels then served the meat to unsuspecting consumers who believed they were eating mutton.

This deceptive practice led to criminal charges and the subsequent arrests of the two suspects. Both Mohd Osman and Mohd Jahangir Pasha remain in custody as the police proceed with the legal case against them.
