Hyderabad Police Apprehend 6 Fake Doctors Across Secunderabad Zone

Hyderabad Police apprehended six people who allegedly posed as qualified doctors and treated patients without medical qualifications during raids across the Secunderabad Zone, according to a press note issued on Tuesday.

The operation was conducted jointly by the City Police Commissioner’s Task Force alongside personnel from the Ramgopalpet, Chilkalguda, OU City, and Domalguda police stations. The teams raided multiple private clinics operating in different neighbourhoods within the zone.

According to the police, five of the six individuals had previously worked as compounders before setting up their own practices. Three of the accused falsely claimed to be specialists, including paediatricians and dermatologists. Investigators found that the accused were actively examining patients, prescribing medicines, and administering injections and intravenous fluids without having any recognized medical degrees.

Police identified the six apprehended individuals and their respective clinic locations across the city. Nilagiri Prasad, 40, was caught operating at Family Clinic in Chilkalguda, where he allegedly posed as a general practitioner and child specialist. Adan Samdani, 23, allegedly claimed to be a dermatologist at Samdani Clinic located in Nallagutta, Ranigunj.

Two others were apprehended from separate establishments in Chilkalguda and Lower Tank Bund: M. Srinivas, 51, who ran Sai Ram Clinic at Lower Tank Bund, and Peddapatla Sadanand, 52, who operated another clinic under the name Sai Ram Clinic near Wesley Church in Chilkalguda.

In Manikeshwar Nagar, police apprehended Chintaluri Ramesh, 45, who posed as a general doctor and family physician at Poly Clinic, and Shivaratri Lingaiah, 57, who was running Surya Clinic in the same locality.

Following the crackdown, Task Force Deputy Commissioner of Police Vaibhav Gaikwad Raghunath urged citizens to remain vigilant regarding unverified medical practitioners and requested the public to report any such individuals to their nearest police station or relevant authorities.
