Hyderabad Police Announce Traffic Diversions for Sunday Marathon

HYDERABAD — Hyderabad traffic police have announced traffic diversions at several major junctions across the city on Sunday to facilitate the Hyderabad Runners Marathon Run. The restrictions will be enforced on a need basis between 4:30 am and 9:30 am along key stretches connecting People’s Plaza on Necklace Road to Gachibowli.

The marathon route begins at People’s Plaza on Necklace Road and finishes at the G.M.C. Balayogi Stadium in Gachibowli. The event will cover major corridors including NTR Marg, Tank Bund, Khairatabad, Somajiguda, Punjagutta, KBR Park, Jubilee Hills Check Post, Road No. 45, and the Durgam Cheruvu Cable Bridge.

According to the official traffic advisory, vehicles heading towards Necklace Road from Ministers Road and Ranigunj will be diverted at the Nallagutta junction. Commuters travelling from Punjagutta and Raj Bhavan towards the Khairatabad Flyover and Necklace Rotary will be redirected at the V.V. Statue junction towards Shadan and Nirankari Bhavan.

Additional traffic diversions will be enforced around Tank Bund based on the movement of runners. These will affect points including the Telangana Thalli Flyover, Ambedkar Statue, Children’s Park, Kavadiguda Cross Road, and DBR Mills.
