Hyderabad-Origin Techie K Suhasini Reddy Missing in Nepal Flash Floods

A 44-year-old software engineer based in Australia with roots in LB Nagar, Hyderabad, has gone missing after devastating flash floods struck the Nepal-Tibet border region on August 26. The missing woman has been identified as K Suhasini Reddy.

Suhasini, who works in Australia, had returned to Hyderabad earlier in the month to attend the house-warming ceremony of a new home in LB Nagar. Following the family event, she departed for Delhi on August 23 and then travelled onward to Kathmandu.

In Kathmandu, Suhasini joined a friend from Australia to embark on a pilgrimage to Mount Kailash-Manasarovar. Her family stated that they last communicated with her on the evening of August 25.

She was scheduled to head towards an immigration centre near the Nepal-China border the following morning, around the time the flash floods hit the border area. She has remained untraceable since the disaster struck.

Her family members in Hyderabad are anxiously awaiting information regarding her safety and whereabouts. They have reached out to authorities for assistance and expressed readiness to travel to Nepal if required, holding out hope that she may have been rescued and moved to a safe location.
