Hyderabad Native Mani Chandra Teja Gaddam Dies In Massachusetts Skydiving Accident

A 28-year-old Hyderabad native and alumnus of ICFAI University in Hyderabad died in a skydiving accident at a facility in Orange, Massachusetts, in the United States. The incident occurred on July 12 at approximately 4:00 PM.

The victim has been identified as Mani Chandra Teja Gaddam. According to his LinkedIn page, Gaddam was a native of Hyderabad and an alumnus of ICFAI University in Hyderabad.

The fatal accident took place at Jumptown Skydiving, a facility located in Orange, Massachusetts. According to local authorities, the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office stated that emergency responders were dispatched to the skydiving facility at around 4:00 PM after receiving reports of a serious skydiving accident on the site.

A preliminary investigation into the incident revealed that Gaddam was attempting to land when an unexpected and sudden gust of wind interfered with his parachute. The sudden disruption caused Gaddam to fall nearly 30 feet to the ground during his landing sequence.

Following the severe fall, Gaddam was rushed immediately to a nearby hospital. However, medical professionals at the hospital declared him dead on arrival.

In the wake of the incident, multiple law enforcement agencies have initiated investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident. The Massachusetts State Police and the Orange Police Department have both launched official investigations into the fatal crash. Furthermore, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has been tasked with conducting an examination to formally ascertain the exact cause and manner of Gaddam’s death.

According to local reports, this fatal accident represents the second death recorded at the Jumptown Skydiving facility within a one-year period. Previously, in October 2025, a 62-year-old man from Connecticut died at the same facility following a midair collision that involved two experienced skydivers.
