Hyderabad MeeSeva centres launch offline urea booking services for farmers

The government has officially extended urea booking services to MeeSeva centres in Hyderabad to help local farmers secure essential fertilisers offline. This initiative is aimed at improving accessibility for farmers who are unable to book urea through mobile applications.

Under the newly introduced system, farmers can visit their nearest MeeSeva centre to place their bookings. The Agriculture Department has urged the farming community to utilise this facility to avoid any inconvenience during the peak cultivation season.

According to the MeeSeva Commissioner, the booking ID generated at the centre will remain valid for only 48 hours. Farmers must visit authorised urea dealers and complete their purchases within this 48-hour timeframe to ensure they receive their stock.

Officials explained that the timely utilisation of this offline booking system will help streamline the distribution of fertilisers. It is also expected to prevent urea shortages during periods of peak agricultural activity.

By integrating these services into MeeSeva centres, the government aims to support farmers who face technological barriers, ensuring they have a reliable, offline method to secure necessary agricultural inputs.
