Hyderabad firm Sigma Advanced Systems to acquire UK's Bromford for Rs 153 crore

Sigma Advanced Systems, a prominent defence and aerospace precision engineering player based in Hyderabad, has announced its plans to acquire a 100 per cent stake in the United Kingdom-based firm Bromford Precision Solutions. The acquisition deal is valued at approximately Rs 153 crore, which is equivalent to GBP 11.89 million. This strategic move is primarily aimed at expanding the Hyderabad-based company's global aerospace manufacturing footprint.
The transaction is currently expected to close by the end of July, although the finalization of the deal remains subject to customary business conditions. Following the completion of the acquisition, Bromford's existing management team will continue to run the day-to-day operations at the UK facility. They will do so with ongoing support and guidance from the leadership team at Sigma.
Established in the year 1988, Bromford Precision Solutions is located in Leicestershire, United Kingdom. The company specializes in the manufacturing of high-precision and complex aeroengine structures. Its product portfolio includes aeroengine rings, compressor casings, ducts, brackets, lock plates, and other highly complex machined engine components.
Bromford serves a variety of clients in both the aerospace sector and the power generation industry. Over the years, the UK-based manufacturer has secured vital approvals from leading global original equipment manufacturers, including prominent engineering giants such as Rolls-Royce and Siemens.
Sigma Advanced Systems stated that Bromford’s specialized manufacturing capabilities will complement its own existing expertise. The Hyderabad firm currently specializes in larger aeroengine structures, which are supplied to the same shared customer base.
The acquisition is also expected to strengthen Sigma’s corporate footprint in the United Kingdom, where it already has operations alongside its Nasmyth Group business. Furthermore, the transaction will allow Sigma to deepen its strategic position within the supply chain of Rolls-Royce.
