Hyderabad Faces Sultry Weather as IMD Predicts Pattern to Last Until August 27

Hyderabad is experiencing an unusually sultry mid-monsoon phase marked by heavy morning moisture followed by dry conditions later in the day, a weather pattern that the India Meteorological Department forecasts will continue until August 27.
While late August typically brings continuous rainfall across Telangana, meteorological data recorded in Hyderabad shows a sharp contrast between early-morning humidity and intense afternoon surface heating. This combination has resulted in noticeably heavier and stickier conditions throughout the day.
According to the local weather bulletin issued by IMD Hyderabad, morning relative humidity levels across the city have consistently stayed between 70 percent and 80 percent throughout the week.
As surface heating intensifies during the afternoon, moisture levels undergo a steep decline. Relative humidity readings recorded around 5:30 pm show a drop to between 30 percent and 39 percent.
This sharp fluctuation in humidity, combined with daytime maximum temperatures ranging between 32 degrees Celsius and 33 degrees Celsius, has created uncomfortable and suffocating conditions for residents. Nighttime temperatures across the city are currently hovering between 23 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius.
According to the IMD's seven-day extended outlook, similar weather conditions are expected to prevail across Hyderabad through August 27. Skies over the city are forecast to remain partly to generally cloudy during this period, with intermittent possibilities of light rain, thundershowers, or occasional dust storms.
