Hyderabad Electors Urged to Submit SIR Forms Before Aug 10 Deadline as Digitisation Lags

Hyderabad district recorded the lowest electoral roll digitisation rate in Telangana at 58.41 percent, prompting District Election Officer RV Karnan to issue an advisory urging local electors to submit their Special Intensive Revision (SIR) enumeration forms before the August 10 deadline.

The official performance data, released by the Chief Electoral Officer of Telangana on Saturday, covered all 33 districts across the state. While Hyderabad district ranked at the very bottom of the state in digitisation progress, Yadadri Bhongiri district emerged as the top performer in Telangana after completing 94.30 percent of its electoral roll digitisation.

In light of the low completion figures in Hyderabad, Karnan appealed to electors across the district to submit their completed SIR enumeration forms without waiting until the last day. The District Election Officer noted that the submission window closes in two days, on August 10. Electors can hand in their completed forms at designated Collection Centres or directly at their concerned Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) Office.

Electors who have already received their enumeration form but are yet to fill and submit it were asked to do so immediately. Officials stated that voters requiring assistance can reach out to their designated Booth Level Officer (BLO) for help with filling out the document. Once completed, the BLO will collect the form directly from the elector's residence for convenience.

For residents who were unavailable during the BLO's visit or who have not yet received an enumeration form, Karnan advised visiting the Election Commission of India (ECI) portal. Voters can use the portal to find the contact details and phone number of their assigned BLO, whom they can contact directly to obtain a form or seek guidance on the submission process.

Electors also have the option to complete and submit their enumeration forms online through the official ECI portal without waiting for physical delivery or collection. Election officials warned that electors who fail to submit their duly filled enumeration forms within the stipulated timeframe risk being excluded from the draft electoral roll.
