Hyderabad Electors Missing From SIR 2002 Roll Can Use Parents' Details To Register

New guidelines were issued on 14 July 2026 for electors in Hyderabad whose names are missing from the SIR 2002 electoral roll, detailing how they can complete their voter registration details. According to the instructions, affected individuals can utilize the electoral records of their parents or grandparents to fill out the required columns in the Enumeration Form.

The official guidelines, which were released at 03:30 PM, address a specific challenge faced by several local voters. Some electors in the city found that their names were not present in the SIR 2002 electoral roll, even though they had successfully cast their votes in the 2024 parliamentary elections.

Officials clarified that if an elector's name is missing from the SIR 2002 electoral roll, it likely means the individual was not enrolled as a voter during that particular period. To bridge this gap and update the records, the authorities have provided an alternative pathway. Affected electors can retrieve the electoral details of their parents or grandparents and insert those family details into the respective columns of the Enumeration Form.

To facilitate this process and minimize difficulties for the public, Booth Level Officers are available to assist. These officers are tasked with helping electors locate and identify the necessary historical electoral records of their family members. Once the appropriate records are found, the Booth Level Officers will guide the electors in completing the Enumeration Form.

This initiative is expected to help numerous affected electors in Hyderabad resolve discrepancies regarding missing historical records. By utilizing the electoral details of their parents or grandparents and seeking direct assistance from the Booth Level Officers, local residents can ensure their enumeration process is completed successfully, allowing them to resolve their missing records with ease.
