Hyderabad Day Temperatures Drop to 32 Degrees as IMD Forecasts Rain and Gusty Winds

On Saturday, Hyderabad and several districts across Telangana experienced a significant drop in daytime temperatures as overcast skies prevailed, prompting the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad to issue weather alerts forecasting rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds.

According to the weather forecast issued by the IMD in Hyderabad on Saturday, the region is preparing for a shift in weather patterns. The maximum temperature in the city saw a considerable drop, settling at around 32 degrees Celsius due to the prevailing overcast skies.

In contrast, the previous couple of days had seen warmer conditions, with the maximum day temperatures recorded between 35 degrees Celsius and 36 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature on Saturday is expected to remain around 22 degrees Celsius, according to the weather department.

While widespread rain had not yet been recorded across Hyderabad during the day on Saturday, the IMD warned that a generally cloudy sky will continue to prevail. The agency stated that light to moderate rain or thundershowers, which may include heavy spells at times, are very likely to occur in the city. These showers are expected to be accompanied by gusty winds of 30 to 40 kmph, particularly during the evening or night hours.

The weather department has also extended warnings to several other districts in Telangana, categorizing them into orange and yellow alerts based on the expected severity of the rain and thunderstorms.

An orange warning has been officially issued for Siddipet and Suryapet districts. This warning indicates that these areas are likely to experience moderate rain and thunderstorms.

A yellow warning, indicating light rain and thunderstorms, has been issued for a wider range of districts across the state. The districts under this alert include Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Ranga Reddy, Kothagudem, Hanamkonda, Jayanakar Bhupally, Jangaon, Khammam, Kumaram Bheem, Mahabubabad, Mancherial, Mulugu, Nalgonda, Sangareddy, Warangal, and Yadadri Bhuvanagiri.
