Hyderabad Court Acquits MLA T Raja Singh in 2022 Case

A Special MP/MLA court in Hyderabad on Tuesday acquitted MLA T Raja Singh in connection with a 2022 case registered against him at the Mangalhat police station. The case had been filed over allegations that he made controversial remarks regarding the life of Prophet Muhammad.

The court ordered the acquittal after examining all the witnesses and evidence presented in the matter. According to the court's findings, the case against the legislator was not made out.

During the proceedings, the complainant in the case admitted that the verses in question made reference to Islamic literature. After reviewing this admission along with the other evidence on hand, the Special MP/MLA court approved the acquittal of Raja Singh, clearing him of the charges.
