Hyderabad Airport Issues Advisory for Early Arrival Ahead of Independence Day

Officials at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad issued a travel advisory on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, asking passengers to arrive earlier than usual and allow additional time for security checks. The advisory comes in response to heightened security measures put in place across the facility ahead of Independence Day on August 15, 2026.

According to the airport advisory, travellers may experience longer wait times during the security screening process. Passengers have been encouraged to plan their commutes in advance and factor in extra travel time to ensure a smooth journey through the terminal.

Airport authorities also stated that passengers who require transportation assistance can approach the dedicated transport help desk located near Aero Plaza.
