Hyderabad Airport Earns ACI Level 2 Accreditation for Passenger Accessibility

HYDERABAD – GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd. (GHIAL) announced on Friday that the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport has received the ACI Accessibility Enhancement Accreditation – Level 2.

The award was given by the Airports Council International (ACI) World, recognizing the airport's ongoing efforts to improve accessibility and travel experiences for passengers with reduced mobility. This is achieved through the implementation of inclusive airport infrastructure and services.

According to a press release, this milestone underscores the journey of the GMR Aero-led consortium towards its commitment to accessibility. The operator stated that the recognition reflects continued efforts to deliver an inclusive, seamless, and dignified travel experience for all passengers.

Kadhir Kadhiravan, the Chief Executive Officer of GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited, expressed the organization's future goals following the accreditation. Kadhiravan stated that they remain committed to advancing further within the ACI Accessibility framework and setting new benchmarks in inclusive airport experiences.

The announcement of the Level 2 accreditation was published on 19 June 2026, marking a key development in the airport's passenger service standards.
