Hundreds Join 29th Ganga Jal Kawad Yatra Starting from Charminar

Hundreds of devotees took part in the 29th Grand Ganga Jal Kawad Yatra on Sunday morning, beginning their procession from Mahadev Mandir in Charminar.
Organised by the Bhagyanagar Kawad Seva Sangh Hyderabad-Secunderabad, the annual yatra commenced around 6:30 am during the month of Shravan. Participants carried holy water as they marched towards their final destination at Shri Uma Maheshwari Swami Devasthanam in Saroornagar.
Devotees and kanwariyas of all age groups, including a large number of women, dressed in saffron clothes to participate in the walk. They carried the holy water using kanwars, balancing the traditional poles on their shoulders throughout the journey.
Upon arriving at the Uma Maheshwari Swami temple, the devotees concluded the yatra by performing 'jalabhishek', using the holy water to perform the ritual bathing of the Shivling.
