HMRL AMD Inspected Begumpet Metro Station to Upgrade Passenger Services

Additional Managing Director of Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) B. Ajith Reddy conducted a field inspection of metro stations on Monday, including Begumpet, Ameerpet, and Raidurg, as part of plans to enhance passenger services across the transit network.

During his visit, Reddy travelled by metro train to personally inspect station facilities, platforms, concourses, and nearby street-level infrastructure. His review also covered existing parking arrangements and security measures at the stations.

Reddy interacted with metro engineers and officials from Keolis, the operations partner, to assess the facilities provided to commuters. He suggested specific improvements and reviewed cleanliness and sanitation practices around the station premises.

While assessing the surrounding street infrastructure, the Additional Managing Director expressed dissatisfaction with the maintenance of the central meridian between metro pillars. He pointed out that central meridian upkeep needs further improvement and criticized the performance of the agencies responsible for the task.

To address service gaps, Reddy instructed officials to prepare station-specific plans to enhance facilities. As a pilot initiative, ten metro stations will be selected for immediate development.
