HMDA Mokila Layout Plot Auction Generates ₹231.65 Crore As All 100 Plots Sell

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) generated approximately ₹231.65 crore in revenue on Tuesday following the successful sale of all 100 residential plots put up for bidding during the Phase III e-auction at Mokila Layout, Hyderabad. The auction saw strong participation from prospective buyers and bidders, highlighting the sustained demand for land in the city's western growth corridor.

According to an official statement released by the HMDA, the bidding process for the residential plots was highly competitive. Several plots put up for auction attracted multiple bids from interested buyers, which resulted in intense competition throughout the e-auction process.

The bidding reached a peak when one residential plot in the Mokila Layout fetched a high of ₹1.09 lakh per square yard. Specifically, the highest bid recorded during the Phase III e-auction touched ₹1,09,500 per square yard. The average bid rate for the plots during the auction stood at ₹75,640 per square yard.

HMDA officials stated that the successful sale of all 100 plots reflects the continued demand for residential land in the western growth corridor of Hyderabad. The authority also noted that the results demonstrate a high level of confidence among buyers in the planned layouts developed by the HMDA.

The authority further described the strong response from bidders as an indication of sustained demand for well-planned residential layouts in the region. This demand has remained robust despite the rising land prices observed in and around Hyderabad.

According to the HMDA, the positive outcome of this latest auction is expected to encourage further investment and housing development activity in the western corridor. The area has increasingly emerged as a major destination for new housing projects in recent years, and the successful Phase III e-auction is anticipated to drive continued growth and development in the locality.
