HMDA Generates Rs 120 Crore From Medipally Layout Plot Auction

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) generated approximately Rs 120 crore in revenue on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, through the Phase III e-auction of residential plots in the Medipally Layout in Hyderabad. The online bidding process saw strong participation from homebuyers and investors, resulting in the successful sale of 63 out of the 68 plots offered.

According to a press release issued by the authority, the e-auction received a highly positive response. Bidders from across Hyderabad and its surrounding regions participated in the event, which officials stated reflected strong market confidence in HMDA-developed layouts and a growing demand for well-planned residential developments.

The bidding for the properties in the Medipally Layout was highly competitive. The highest bid received during the e-auction touched Rs 80,000 per square yard. Meanwhile, the average bid rate for the residential plots stood at Rs 56,260 per square yard.

Out of the 68 residential plots that the HMDA put up for sale in this phase, buyers successfully acquired 63 plots, leaving only five plots unsold.
