HMDA Distributes Free Plants at Hyderabad 5K Run in Hitex

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) organised a free plant distribution drive at the Hitex Exhibition Centre on Saturday as part of the Vanamahotsavam initiative.

The distribution programme took place during the Hyderabad 5K Run, where saplings of various plant species were handed out at no cost to race participants and visitors.

Highlighting the challenges of rapid urbanisation, HMDA urged residents to actively grow and nurture plants within their homes, residential communities, and other available spaces across the city.
