HMDA Authorised to Issue TDR for Projects in CURE, PURE, Secunderabad

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has authorised the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) to manage the issuance of Transferable Development Rights (TDR) for projects across CURE and PURE (Peri Urban Region) limits, as well as lands falling under the Secunderabad Cantonment Board. The government issued GOMs 218 on Friday to formalise the decision.

The orders were issued after the state examined the requirement to streamline the issuance and utilisation of TDR for land required or surrendered for developmental projects executed by HMDA.

According to the state government's directives, HMDA must process all TDR certificates exclusively online. A copy of each TDR certificate or proceeding issued by HMDA must be provided to the respective municipal corporation, urban local body, or the Future City Development Authority.

Following the issuance of the government order, necessary modifications will be made to the BuildNow system to support the online processing, issuance, accounting, and utilisation of TDR certificates across the designated zones.
