HCA Holds Fitness Camp in Hyderabad Ahead of Ranji Trophy Season

The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) has announced a fitness assessment and training camp across all age groups, including the senior men's category, ahead of the upcoming domestic season.
The camp for senior men's team hopefuls commenced on August 15 and will run through August 31. The sessions serve as preparation for the Ranji Trophy season, which is scheduled to begin on October 11.
The initiative focuses on establishing physical conditioning as a core requirement alongside traditional cricketing skills. Players have increasingly integrated personal fitness routines into their schedules, maintaining training regimens during the off-season to meet the physical demands of contemporary cricket.
Kaneshkk Naidu, a former first-class cricketer who trains several local players and works as a consultant with fitness and sports performance centre Kanhustle, noted that players are increasingly prioritizing conditioning. He highlighted that sustained physical fitness has become essential for surviving demanding fielding standards, continuous travel, and multi-format schedules.
