HC Asks TGIIC for Reply and Photos on Raidurg Panmaktha Land Auction

The Telangana High Court has directed the Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation to file a counter-affidavit along with photographs in response to a writ petition challenging the proposed auction of two prime land parcels at Raidurg Panmaktha in Serilingampally Mandal.
Justice Nagesh Bheemapaka issued the directions during the hearing of a petition concerning Plot Numbers P1 and P2 in Survey Number 83/1 of Raidurg Panmaktha Village. The corporation had proposed to auction these parcels through an e-auction notification issued on August 1, 2026.
The petitioner approached the High Court challenging the auction on the grounds that the subject land forms part of a site identified for preservation as a heritage precinct and a rock-preserved area. To support the claim, the petitioner cited findings from earlier technical reports and officers' committee reports regarding the preservation of the area.
Senior Counsel V. Hariharan, appearing on behalf of the petitioner, sought the setting aside of the auction notification as far as it relates to the two specific plots. The counsel also requested directions from the court instructing authorities to place on record survey and demarcation details to clarify whether the plots are situated within or outside the designated rock-preserved area.
Additional Advocate General Rajnikanth Reddy, representing the Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation, appeared before the bench and requested time to submit the corporation's response to the allegations.
Following the submissions, the High Court directed the corporation to submit its counter along with relevant photographs and adjourned the matter to August 20 for further hearing.
