Harshit Choudhary Smashes Unbeaten 121 to Hand Warangal Warriors First TG20 Win

The Warangal Warriors registered their first victory in the HCA Sreenidhi University TG20 tournament on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, defeating the Anvita Khammam Aces by five wickets at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. Opener Harshit Choudhary anchored the successful chase of 203 runs with an unbeaten century.

Choudhary smashed 121 runs off 62 balls, hitting his century in just 48 balls. His match-winning performance came after a reprieve, as he was dropped when he was on 32. This missed opportunity proved costly for the Aces as the opener stayed until the end to guide his team to victory.

Earlier, the Anvita Khammam Aces were bowled out for 202 runs in 19.2 overs after being put in to bat. Despite losing early wickets, the Aces maintained an aggressive scoring rate. Mayank Gupta and Prateek Reddy combined for a quick 35 runs off 20 balls, with Reddy contributing 20 runs off 11 balls.

Gupta anchored one end, scoring 54 runs off 36 balls and reaching his half-century in 32 balls. He found a strong partner in Mickil Jaiswal, who also scored 54 runs but off just 22 balls. Jaiswal reached his half-century in 21 balls, a knock that featured seven sixes and a single boundary.

The Warriors' bowlers fought back to restrict the Aces. Mohd Abdul Malik and Murugan Abhishek were the pick of the bowlers, taking three wickets each. Malik ended with figures of 3/35, while Abhishek took 3/54. Pallepati Kranthi chipped in with 2/42, and Mudassar took 1/30.

In their chase, the Warriors reached 208/5 to secure the win. Rishiket Sisodia made a useful contribution of 27 runs. For the Aces, Saaketh Dhatrak was the most successful bowler with figures of 2/29.

The game went down to the wire. Aces captain CV Milind dismissed Murugan Abhishek for 5 runs in the 18th over to create some tension. However, Choudhary showed maturity and calmness, finishing the chase alongside Adi Mani Kiran, who scored a quick 14 runs off four balls. Choudhary was named the player of the match for his unbeaten century.
