Harshit Choudhary Hits Unbeaten Century to Guide Warangal Warriors to Five-Wicket Win

Warangal Warriors secured their first victory of the HCA Sreenidhi University TG20 tournament on Wednesday, defeating Anvita Khammam Aces by five wickets at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. Opener Harshit Choudhary powered the successful chase of a 203-run target with an unbeaten century.

Choudhary scored 121 runs off 62 balls, anchoring the Warriors' innings after being dropped earlier in the match when he was on 32. He displayed immense maturity and calmness to reach his hundred in 48 balls.

Earlier in the game, Anvita Khammam Aces were bowled out for 202 runs in 19.2 overs. The Aces' innings was built on half-centuries from Mayank Gupta, who made 54 off 36 balls, and Mickil Jaiswal, who smashed 54 off 22 balls, including seven sixes and one boundary.

The Aces started aggressively, with Mayank Gupta and Prateek Reddy combining for a rapid 35-run partnership off 20 balls, with Reddy contributing 20 runs off 11 balls. Gupta held one end stable to keep the scoreboard moving before Jaiswal joined him to accelerate the scoring rate.

For the Warangal Warriors, bowlers Mohd Abdul Malik and Murugan Abhishek did well to restrict the Aces' batting lineup by taking three wickets each. Malik finished with figures of 3/35, while Abhishek claimed 3/54. Pallepati Kranthi also contributed with 2/42, and Mudassar took 1/30.

During the chase, Rishiket Sisodia contributed 27 runs to the Warriors' total. Although Aces captain CV Milind dismissed Murugan Abhishek for 5 runs off 4 balls in the 18th over to build pressure, Choudhary remained calm. Adi Mani Kiran played a brief but crucial cameo of 14 runs off 4 balls to help Choudhary close out the game.

The Warriors finished at 208/5 to seal the five-wicket victory. Saaketh Dhatrak was the pick of the bowlers for the Aces, taking 2/29. Choudhary was named the player of the match for his match-winning century.
