Harish Rao Demands Probe into Poor-Quality Uniforms for Telangana Students

Hyderabad: BRS Legislature Party deputy leader T Harish Rao demanded an immediate inquiry into the alleged poor quality of uniforms supplied to government school students, questioning the Revanth Reddy government's claims of delivering world-class education.

Harish Rao stated that uniforms had not yet reached several schools, while the garments that were delivered suffered from incorrect measurements, loose stitching, and colours that faded after washing. He noted that although students were entitled to receive two sets of uniforms, many had not received even one complete set.

He further accused the state government of ignoring Telangana's local handloom workers by procuring poor-quality uniforms from large corporate suppliers instead. Local handloom units should have been given priority, he said, pointing out that the administration's decision had negatively impacted both students and weavers.

Alleging that the government had left students with substandard attire while depriving handloom workers of livelihood, Harish Rao called for a thorough investigation into the entire uniform procurement process.
