Harish Rao Condemns Arrest of Protesters at Police Recruitment Board in Hyderabad

On Monday, 29 June 2026, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Legislature Party Deputy Leader T. Harish Rao strongly condemned the arrest of unemployed youth who were protesting at the Telangana State Police Recruitment Board in Hyderabad.
Rao demanded the immediate release of the arrested job aspirants who were detained during the protest. He also urged the Congress-led state government to immediately issue a fresh recruitment notification to fill 20,000 police vacancies, which had been announced previously.
Criticising the police action against the protesting youth, the BRS leader alleged that the crackdown served as clear proof of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s dictatorial rule in the state. Rao accused the current Congress government of betraying the job aspirants of Telangana.
According to Rao, the government has failed to implement its promise to fill two lakh government jobs, a commitment that remains unfulfilled. He reiterated that the government must stop the crackdowns, release the arrested youth, and address the demands of the unemployed job seekers by issuing the notification for the 20,000 police vacancies.
