Hare Krishna Golden Temple in Banjara Hills to Host Sri Krishna Janmashtami on September 4

The Hare Krishna Movement Hyderabad is set to celebrate the festival of Sri Krishna Janmashtami on September 4 at the Hare Krishna Golden Temple in Banjara Hills. The religious observance will feature extensive rituals, special sevas, and darshans scheduled throughout the day for visiting devotees.

During the festival, devotees will have the opportunity to view Lord Sri Krishna in several forms, including Sri Radha Govinda, Sri Godha Krishna, Sri Laddu Gopal, and Sri Makhan Krishna. Attendees will also be permitted to take part in the Jhulan and Unjala Seva dedicated to Sri Makhan Krishna.

The day's schedule begins with the Shringara Arati, during which the deities of Sri Radha Govinda will be adorned in Nava Vastrams, jewelry, and floral arrangements, followed by the presentation of Visesha Naivedyam.

As part of the morning rituals, priests will conduct the Sri Narasimha Homa, a traditional Vedic fire sacrifice intended to usher in auspiciousness and prosperity. Following the homa, devotees will present a Chappan Bhog offering comprising 56 varieties of prepared food items. The morning sequence will conclude with the Raja Bhoga Arati at noon.

Evening ceremonies on September 4 will feature the Krishna Anugraha Sandhya Maha Abhishekam. Later in the night, a special abhishekam for Sri Radha Govinda using 108 Kalashas is scheduled to commence at 10:30 pm.

The Janmashtami celebrations at the temple will culminate at midnight with the Maha Mangala Arathi, concluding the festival's primary religious observances.
