Hanumakonda man dies by suicide on video call with wife

A 45-year-old man from Julayiwada in Hanumakonda died by suicide on Monday after jumping in front of a moving train between the Kazipet and Warangal railway stations. The deceased, identified as L Rajesh Naik, was on a video call with his wife and live-streamed the incident before his death.
The Warangal Government Railway Police (GRP) have registered a case and initiated an investigation. The police suspect that a property dispute between Rajesh Naik and his family members might be the reason for the incident.
According to the police, Rajesh Naik worked as a document writer in Warangal. On Sunday night, he had a quarrel with his wife and family members over property disputes. Following the argument, Rajesh Naik left his residence.
Later, he made a video call to his wife and informed her that he was committing suicide. He then jumped in front of an approaching train.
On Monday morning, locals found a person's body on the railway tracks. They called the police, who rushed to the spot and informed the Government Railway Police of Warangal.
The GRP police personnel recovered the body from the location and shifted it to MGM Hospital in Warangal for a postmortem examination.
Warangal GRP Inspector P Surender stated that a case has been registered and they are currently investigating.
