Government approves ₹20 crore for NAC Skill Development Centre in Manthani

The Telangana State government has approved the setting up of a National Academy of Construction (NAC) Skill Development Centre in Manthani, located within the Peddapalli district. Along with the approval for the project, the state government has officially sanctioned ₹20 crore to fund the construction of the new centre’s building.
The administrative orders sanctioning the necessary funds for the project were issued on Friday. These orders were formally released by Vikas Raj, the Special Chief Secretary of the Transport, Roads & Buildings (TR&B) Department.
The NAC Skill Development Centre is expected to play a highly significant role in creating a skilled workforce capable of meeting the evolving demands of the modern construction industry. The facility is set to provide skill training of international standards, ensuring that local youth are equipped with the latest technologies and modern construction practices.
To accommodate different career paths, the upcoming centre in Manthani will offer both short-term and long-term training programmes. These educational initiatives are designed to enable trainees to pursue self-employment opportunities, as well as secure job placements in leading national and international companies, according to the office of IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu on Friday.
Mr. Sridhar Babu, who represents the Manthani constituency in the Legislative Assembly, expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy for granting their approval to the project.
In a statement, Mr. Sridhar Babu highlighted that the centre would serve as a major hub for quality skill development specifically for the youth of North Telangana. He added that the training provided at the facility will enhance their employability and open up diverse job opportunities in the construction sector both across India and abroad.
