GITAM Hyderabad Opens Admissions for 2026-27 and Launches School of Education

GITAM Deemed to be University in Hyderabad announced on June 17, 2026, that it has officially opened admissions for its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for the 2026–27 academic year. Alongside the commencement of the new admissions cycle, the university launched its newly established School of Education, which aims to expand the institution's multidisciplinary learning ecosystem.

The Hyderabad campus has introduced a diverse range of new academic programmes starting this year. Among these is a specialized BBA in Entrepreneurship, offered in collaboration with the Bower School of Entrepreneurship.

In addition to the business curriculum, the university is launching integrated teacher education options. These include B.A. B.Ed. and B.Sc. B.Ed. degrees, both offered under the Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP).

The institution is also expanding its science and technology offerings. New programmes for the upcoming academic year include a B.Sc. in Microbiology, an M.Sc. in Biotechnology, an M.Tech. in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, and an M.Pharm in Industrial Pharmacy.

To assist incoming students, the university announced a scholarship scheme. Eligible candidates can receive scholarships of up to 100 per cent, which will cover tuition fees, food, and accommodation. These scholarships will be awarded based on merit and student performance in qualifying examinations.

Admissions to the various courses are being conducted through the university's dedicated entrance exam, GAT 2026. The university will also accept scores from several recognized national and state-level entrance examinations, including TG EAPCET, AP EAPCET, NCET, NATA, JEE, CUET, GMAT, and CAT.

The GITAM Admission Test (GAT 2026) will be conducted as a national-level entrance examination. The test is scheduled to take place in an online mode across India on June 28, 2026. Prospective students must submit their completed applications by the deadline of June 26, 2026.
