GHMC Deploys Drones to Spray Larvicide and Control Mosquito Breeding

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has stepped up its vector-control operations across Hyderabad by deploying drones to spray larvicide at key mosquito breeding sites.
The civic body is utilizing the unmanned aerial systems to reach locations where mosquitoes are prone to breeding, including waterlogged patches, stagnant water bodies, drains, and open plots.
The deployment of drones is specifically targeted at areas that are difficult or hazardous for sanitation workers to access manually, ensuring anti-larval treatment reaches inaccessible spots across the city.
