Gaur Gopal Das and Dr Pratima Murthy to Speak on Mental Health in Madhapur

A special symposium dialogue bringing together spirituality, science, and mental health is scheduled to take place on August 19 at the Avasa Hotel in Madhapur, Hyderabad. The session aims to explore how ancient wisdom and contemporary scientific understanding can combine to address challenges faced by individuals, families, and society.

Titled 'Strong Families. Strong Minds.', the dialogue will feature a conversation between monk, author, and motivational speaker Gaur Gopal Das and Dr Pratima Murthy, former Director and Senior Professor of Psychiatry at NIMHANS.

The discussion will focus on bridging spirituality and science, examining their complementary roles in fostering emotional resilience, healthier relationships, and stronger minds. The session is designed to explore practical ways to support mental well-being across modern communities.

Organisers noted that the event brings together two distinct perspectives on human well-being. Gaur Gopal Das will share insights grounded in spiritual wisdom communicated for contemporary contexts, while Dr Pratima Murthy will provide clinical and mental-health insights from her extensive career in psychiatry and scientific leadership.
