Gajularamaram Man Booked for Sharing CSAM on Instagram

The Jeedimetla police have registered a case against a man residing in Gajularamaram, Hyderabad, after he was allegedly detected viewing child sexual abuse material on Instagram and sharing links to the prohibited content with others.

The suspect, identified as Sanappa, came under scrutiny when a United States-based child protection and monitoring organisation detected his activities online. The international organisation passed information regarding his actions through a tip line to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).

Upon receiving the information shared by NCMEC, the Telangana Cyber Crime Police launched an investigation into the matter. Cyber crime officials successfully traced the suspect using his internet protocol (IP) address and associated mobile phone number.

Following the identification of the suspect, the case details were forwarded to the Jeedimetla police station for further action. The Jeedimetla police subsequently registered a case against Sanappa and initiated a formal probe into his online dealings and the sharing of prohibited material. Police confirmed that no arrest has been made yet in connection with the case.
