Gadwal Railway Station Modernization 95% Complete, Says Kishan Reddy

Union Coal Minister G Kishan Reddy visited and inspected the ongoing works at the Gadwal-Jogulamba railway station on Monday, announcing that 95 percent of the modernization works have been completed.

Speaking to media persons during his visit, the minister stated that the redevelopment of the station was taken up at a cost of Rs 6.7 crore. Located near the Alampur Jogulamba Ammavari Kshetra, the station is being decorated with a special design to reflect local spirituality. Once the remaining works are finished, the station will be dedicated to the nation by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, offering upgraded amenities for pilgrims visiting the temple.

The minister said that 42 railway stations across Telangana are being developed simultaneously with modern, high-end facilities under the NDA government. Key stations being upgraded to international standards include Hyderabad (Nampally), Secunderabad, Moulali, Cherlapally, Mahabubnagar, Vikarabad, and Tandur. Upgrades across these stations include new platforms, waiting halls, escalators, and other passenger amenities to manage passenger rush.

Kishan Reddy stated that railway projects worth Rs 80,000 crore are currently underway across Telangana, including line doubling, tripling, and quadrupling works, alongside the completion of 100 percent electrification of railway tracks. He also highlighted the rollout of the indigenous train collision avoidance systems 'Kavach' and 'Kavach 2.0' in the state.

Additionally, five indigenous Vande Bharat trains are now operational from Hyderabad. The minister noted that construction of the rail manufacturing unit in Kazipet is 90 percent complete and will soon be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He added that future plans include operating high-speed bullet trains connecting Hyderabad to Bengaluru and Pune.
