Gachibowli Police Rescue Two Kidnapped Girls in Kondapur Within Four Hours

Gachibowli police rescued two young girls within four hours after they were allegedly kidnapped from a labourers' housing facility in Kondapur, foiling a suspected trafficking attempt and arresting the accused labourer.

The incident came to light at around 2 a.m. on Tuesday when David Murmu, a labourer residing at the temporary accommodation in Kondapur, approached the Gachibowli police. Murmu reported that his four-year-old daughter and another labourer's three-and-a-half-year-old daughter had gone missing from the facility.

According to the complaint, the two children were playing at the site on Monday evening when they were allegedly lured away by Chaku Soren, a fellow labourer who was staying in the same residential facility.

Following the complaint, Gachibowli police immediately registered a kidnapping case and constituted special teams to track down the suspect and ensure the safe recovery of the two missing girls.

Serilingampally Deputy Commissioner of Police Ch Srinivas stated that law enforcement authorities alerted all police stations across the city as well as the railway police, focusing specifically on train routes heading toward Kolkata. Police teams were dispatched to railway stations at Ghatkesar, Jangaon, and Kazipet to monitor possible escape routes.

Investigators analysed the call detail records of the accused, which allowed them to trace his movements to the Ghatkesar railway station area during the early hours of Tuesday.

Police located the accused in the area, took him into custody, and rescued both girls unharmed. The accused was formally arrested and has been taken in for interrogation regarding the alleged trafficking bid.
