Gachibowli Police Book Man for Sexually Assaulting Woman on Pretext of Marriage

The Gachibowli police have registered a case against a man for allegedly sexually assaulting a 28-year-old woman under the pretext of marriage at a local hotel in Gachibowli.

The accused has been identified by investigators as Matthew Paul Mallipudi. According to the police, Mallipudi and the victim had known each other for ten years.

According to the complaint, in March 2026, the accused allegedly lured the victim to a hotel situated in Gachibowli under the pretext of celebrating his birthday. After she arrived at the location, Mallipudi allegedly forced himself upon her. During the course of the assault, he secretly captured compromised photographs and recorded videos of the victim without her consent, police said.

Following the incident, Mallipudi allegedly began blackmailing the victim. He threatened to leak the compromised visuals across social media platforms if she refused to comply with his demands. When the woman resisted his advances and threats, the accused allegedly uploaded the private photos and videos onto Instagram.

The victim further stated in her complaint that the accused subsequently married another woman. Despite his marriage, he reportedly continued to harass the victim and attempted to force her into maintaining a physical relationship.

Based on the victim's complaint, the Gachibowli police registered a case against Mallipudi and initiated an investigation into the matter.
