Gachibowli Police Arrest Man for Multiple Passports After US Consulate Complaint

The Gachibowli police in Hyderabad have arrested a man, identified as M Lakshmikanth Reddy, for allegedly obtaining multiple Indian passports under different names by submitting forged residence certificates.
The arrest followed a formal complaint lodged by the US Consulate General. During the investigation, authorities uncovered passports issued under two separate names—M Lakshmikanth and Medha Prasoon Kumar Reddy—both allegedly linked to the same individual.
According to police officials, the suspect allegedly used forged residential certificates to secure the official travel documents.
The Gachibowli police are investigating the circumstances surrounding how the forged documents were procured. Investigators are also examining whether the suspect utilized the multiple identities for other illicit purposes.
