FTG opens first India manufacturing facility at GMR Aerospace Park in Hyderabad

Firan Technology Group Corporation (FTG) inaugurated its first manufacturing facility in India at the GMR Aerospace & Industrial Park in Hyderabad on June 29, 2026. The launch of the new unit was announced by GMR Hyderabad Aviation SEZ Limited (GHASL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL).
The newly established facility will focus on the production of advanced avionics and cockpit interface electronics. These products are intended to support global aerospace and defence programmes, thereby strengthening India's position in the global aerospace manufacturing and defence supply chain.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior government representatives along with leadership members from both GMR and FTG. The event marked a significant milestone for the region's industrial growth and international business partnerships.
This Hyderabad facility represents FTG's expansion into its fourth global manufacturing geography. The corporation currently operates manufacturing facilities in Canada, the United States, and China.
The unit was developed as a customized Built-to-Suit (BTS) facility. According to GMR, the project reflects the company's capability to design, engineer, and deliver industrial infrastructure that aligns with stringent global original equipment manufacturer (OEM) standards. The facility is situated within the 277-acre GMR Aerospace & Industrial Park, allowing it to integrate into an airport-led industrial ecosystem.
Aman Kapoor, CEO of GMR Airport Land Development, spoke about the collaboration during the event. He noted that the partnership reflects the growing confidence of global OEMs in India, as well as in GMR's capability to deliver customized, world-class infrastructure.
Brad Bourne, president and CEO of FTG Corporation, also commented on the launch. He stated that opening the first facility in India is a strategic milestone for FTG. He added that India's deep engineering talent, fast-growing aerospace and defence sector, and strong support for manufacturing made the country a natural next step in the company's global expansion.
