Four Men Attack Narsingi Bar Staff With Sword Over Late-Night Alcohol Service

Four persons attacked bar employees with a sword late Tuesday night after being refused permission to consume alcohol inside a bar beyond permitted operating hours in Narsingi. Two staff members sustained injuries during the altercation.

The incident took place around 11.45 pm on Tuesday at a budget-friendly bar situated at Lalamma Garden on Pipeline Road, within the limits of the Narsingi police station.

According to a preliminary police inquiry, the confrontation began when three men entered the establishment and ordered beer. The bar staff informed the group that permitted serving hours had ended and clarified that only takeaway or parcel orders could be fulfilled. The three customers, however, refused the parcel option and insisted on consuming the alcohol inside the premises.

After the staff asked them to vacate the establishment, the three individuals went outside and contacted an associate. Roughly ten minutes later, a fourth person arrived at the location carrying a sword and attempted to assault the bar staff.

The bar employees resisted and attempted to prevent the physical assault, resulting in a violent scuffle. During the clash, one staff member, identified as Shravan, suffered blunt injuries. Another employee, Mahesh, sustained a minor bleeding injury to his palm.

Following the attack, the four suspects escaped from the spot on a Scooty. The Narsingi police have launched an investigation into the incident and are working to identify and apprehend the individuals involved.
