Four Killed as Private Bus Collides with Car Near Peddakaparty Village in Nalgonda

A devastating road accident near Peddakaparty village in the Nalgonda district of Telangana claimed the lives of four people and left five others critically injured on Sunday morning, 5 July 2026.

The fatal collision, which occurred at approximately 6:00 AM, involved a private travels bus and a Swift Dzire car. The crash took place on a temporary road diversion that had been set up for traffic due to an ongoing flyover construction project in the area.

According to reports from the scene, both the private bus and the car were navigating the diversion when they suffered a violent head-on collision. The impact of the crash was so severe that it resulted in immediate fatalities.

All four occupants of the Swift Dzire car died on the spot. The victims of the crash included two women, a young boy, and the driver of the car. At the time of the incident, further details regarding the identities of the deceased car passengers and their travel plans were not immediately known.

The private travels bus involved in the collision was carrying passengers from Hindupur in Andhra Pradesh and was heading towards Hyderabad. In addition to the four deaths inside the car, five passengers travelling aboard the private bus sustained critical, life-threatening injuries during the collision.

Local emergency services and police personnel rushed to the site near Peddakaparty village to initiate rescue operations and clear the highway. The five critically injured passengers from the bus were immediately transported to a hospital to receive emergency medical treatment.

Authorities are investigating the exact cause of the head-on collision on the diversion, where the under-construction flyover had restricted normal traffic flow. The crash, which took place during the early hours of Sunday, left the local community in shock as officials worked to secure the area.
