Food Safety Notices Issued to Shah Ghouse and Two Other Cyberabad Restaurants

Food safety teams have issued improvement notices to three prominent restaurants under the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation limits, including Shah Ghouse Biryani Restaurant on the Raidurg-Gachibowli Road, following inspections that uncovered numerous hygiene and safety violations.
The inspections targeted three popular dining establishments in the area: Shah Ghouse Biryani Restaurant on Raidurg-Gachibowli Road, Mehfil Restaurant in Hitech City, and Palamuru Grill Bar and Restaurant near the Kondapur RTO Office. Officials ordered the managements of these eateries to implement immediate corrective measures.
At the Shah Ghouse Biryani Restaurant on the Raidurg-Gachibowli Road, inspectors observed several sanitary issues. These included gutka stains on the walls and the presence of houseflies inside the kitchen. The food safety team also noted poor housekeeping, unhygienic conditions in the non-vegetarian cutting areas, open drains, and an accumulation of food waste. Furthermore, the restaurant had an unclean wash area and a leakage in its storeroom.
Meanwhile, the inspection at Mehfil Restaurant in Hitech City revealed that Roomali roti was actively being prepared in a construction area. Food safety officials immediately halted this practice. The team also found that the kitchen suffered from inadequate space, wet floors, and food accumulation. In addition to unhygienic food handling practices, the restaurant management was unable to produce required medical fitness certificates for its food handlers.
At Palamuru Grill Bar and Restaurant, located near the Kondapur RTO Office, officials discovered label tampering on prepared food items. They also found stale food and expired mushrooms, which were promptly discarded. Other violations at the premises included grease and dirt accumulation, the presence of houseflies, a rusted freezer containing stagnant water, and a lack of proper hot-water sanitation systems for washing utensils.
Following the exercise, the food safety teams issued formal improvement notices to all three restaurants to ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
