Flyadeal Launches Daily Riyadh Flights From Hyderabad Shamshabad Airport

Flyadeal, the Saudia Group's low-cost carrier, has launched its inaugural daily flight service connecting Riyadh and Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Shamshabad. This debut service marks the airline's entry into the Indian market, strengthening direct travel links between India and Saudi Arabia.

The maiden flight's arrival at the Shamshabad airport was attended by Kadhir Kadhiravan, CEO of GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (GHIAL), alongside other senior GHIAL officials. Also present to mark the occasion were Loydjoe Misquitta, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of flyadeal, and Abdulrahman Alrasheed, Head of Airport Operations at flyadeal.

The airline will operate daily flights on the Riyadh–Hyderabad–Riyadh route, providing seven weekly operations. Flyadeal is deploying Airbus A320 aircraft for this route to cater to the growing demand from business travellers, expatriates, and leisure passengers.

Commenting on the launch, GHIAL CEO Kadhir Kadhiravan stated that the airport was delighted to welcome flyadeal for its debut entry into India. He noted that the new connection to Riyadh significantly enhances the airport's Middle East network, reflecting its growing importance as a global aviation hub. He added that the service will strengthen links for the large Indian diaspora and business community, while creating new opportunities for tourism and trade.

According to the airline's schedule, the flight departing from Riyadh leaves at 23:20 and arrives in Hyderabad at 06:50 the following day, taking five hours. The return flight departs from Hyderabad at 07:55 and arrives in Riyadh at 11:05, with a flight duration of five hours and 40 minutes.

With the addition of flyadeal, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport continues to expand its global footprint, now connecting to 76 domestic and 24 international destinations. Officials stated that passengers flying from Hyderabad will also benefit from seamless onward connectivity across flyadeal's domestic network to multiple cities within Saudi Arabia.
