Family Protests at LIMS Hospital After 22-Year-Old Dies in Road Crash

Tension prevailed at LIMS hospital in Hyderabad on Thursday after a 22-year-old youth, who was critically injured in a road accident, died while undergoing treatment.

The deceased has been identified as Sai Goud. According to the Kothur police, the accident occurred around 11:30 pm on August 15 when a Kia Seltos car, allegedly driven by a minor accompanied by friends, collided with Goud's Pulsar motorcycle.

Following Goud's death, his family members and friends gathered at LIMS hospital and confronted police officials, demanding compensation and strict action against those responsible for the fatal collision.

Kothur Inspector Nagarjuna Reddy said the situation became tense as the family was already in grief following the death of Goud's father two months ago. Goud is survived by his mother and sister.

Police said the accused driver was reportedly the son of former Balanagar Mandal Praja Parishad (MPP) leader Lingaiah Nayak. Notices were issued to the accused, and he was subsequently taken into custody as part of the ongoing investigation.
