Family Protests at Attapur Hospital After 28-Year-Old Woman Dies of Fever

Tension prevailed in the Attapur area of Hyderabad on Tuesday after relatives of a 28-year-old woman alleged that she died due to medical negligence by the staff at a private hospital.

The deceased woman has been identified as Srilatha. She was admitted to the private hospital in Attapur on Monday after suffering from a fever. Hospital management stated that she had been placed under medical care and had been undergoing treatment since her admission.

According to reports, Srilatha's physical condition deteriorated significantly during the night. Doctors at the facility shifted her to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for emergency care as her condition worsened. However, despite being transferred to the ICU, she was subsequently declared dead by the attending medical team.

Shocked by the sudden demise, Srilatha's family members and relatives gathered in large numbers outside the hospital premises. They held a demonstration against the hospital authorities, alleging that negligence and inadequate care by the doctors were directly responsible for her death.

The protest led to an atmosphere of tension on the hospital premises as the crowd demanded accountability from the administration.

Upon being alerted to the agitation, local police personnel were dispatched to the private hospital to prevent any escalation and to maintain law and order. Officers at the scene engaged with the grieving family members, attempting to pacify the crowd and defuse the tense situation. Further details regarding the incident remain awaited.
