Excise Officials Seize 22 Scotch Bottles in Kapra, One Detained

The Prohibition and Excise department detained a man in RK Puram, Kapra, for allegedly selling premium scotch liquor bottles illegally to known contacts.

Officials identified the accused as Radha Kurusha Samal, a resident of RK Puram in Kapra. Acting on specific information, Malkajgiri Enforcement Inspector Kotamma and her team conducted a search at Samal’s residence, leading to the recovery and seizure of 22 expensive scotch liquor bottles.

According to investigators, Samal was earning money by procuring the liquor bottles from a military canteen and reselling them at higher rates, adding a margin of Rs. 500 to Rs. 1,000 per bottle.

Malkajgiri Enforcement Assistant Commissioner Pradeep Rao confirmed the operation and stated that both the accused and the seized liquor bottles have been handed over to the Kapra excise station for further legal proceedings.
