ED Auctions Seized Hawker 800A Business Jet Parked at Shamshabad Airport for Rs 3 Crore

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has auctioned a seized Hawker 800A business jet parked at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Shamshabad, Hyderabad, for Rs 3 crore. The auction, which took place on July 1, is part of a money laundering investigation against a Hyderabad-based company, Capital Protection Force Pvt. Ltd., and its promoters, who are accused of running a Rs 792 crore Ponzi scheme.

The aircraft was originally seized by the ED's Hyderabad zonal office in March 2025 during searches related to the case. Following the seizure, the agency approached the Adjudicating Authority of the Prevention of Money Laundering Rules to obtain permission to sell the plane.

The adjudicating authority granted permission for the auction in November 2025. The sale was subsequently conducted on July 1 through the Metal Scrap Trade Corporation Ltd (MSTC) for a total consideration of Rs 3 crore.

According to the ED, the recovered Rs 3 crore will be used to compensate the victims of the multi-crore Ponzi scheme. The restitution to genuine investors will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), subject to permission from the Special Court.

The money laundering case originated from an FIR registered by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Cyberabad Police. The complaint was filed against Capital Protection Force Pvt. Ltd. (also known as Falcon Group), its Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Amardeep Kumar, and several others.

The accused allegedly defrauded a large number of investors of Rs 792 crore. They lured victims under the pretext of offering high returns through an invoice discounting scheme, though the ED stated that no actual business was ever conducted.

The agency has previously arrested three individuals in connection with the case: Amardeep Kumar's brother Sandeep Kumar, Chartered Accountant Sharad Chandra Toshniwal, and Falcon Invoice Discounting CEO Aryan Singh Chhabra. A charge sheet was filed by the agency in September last year.
