EAGLE Force Arrests Man With Rs 2.5 Lakh Hashish Oil at Hyderabad ORR

The EAGLE Force and Abdullapurmet Police arrested a 30-year-old man and seized 200 ml of hashish oil valued at around Rs 2.5 lakh at the Outer Ring Road (ORR) on the Vijayawada-Hyderabad highway on Saturday.

The suspect, identified by law enforcement as Burse Narendra Srinivas (30), works as a driver and currently resides in Balapur within the Ranga Reddy district. He is originally a native of Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh.

According to the police, Srinivas established contact with a drug supplier named Hari, based in Paduwa in the Koraput district of Odisha, using the Snapchat application. Through this connection, Srinivas began procuring hashish oil to sell to customers located across Hyderabad and its surrounding areas.

Sandeep Shandilya, Director of EAGLE Force, stated that Srinivas had travelled to Odisha on August 2, where he purchased two bottles containing a total of 200 ml of hashish oil for Rs 9,000. He then boarded a bus to return to Hyderabad with the substance.

Upon arriving in the city, Srinivas got down from the bus at the Outer Ring Road junction on the Vijayawada-Hyderabad highway, where joint teams from the EAGLE Force and the Abdullapurmet Police intercepted him and confiscated the hashish oil.

Police officials noted that Srinivas relied on Snapchat for all communications with both his supplier in Odisha and his local buyers. In an effort to evade detection by security agencies, he deliberately refrained from making advance bus bookings during his travels. Despite these precautions, investigators have already identified 10 drug consumers in LB Nagar and nearby areas who were in contact with the suspect.

A case has been officially registered at the Abdullapurmet police station regarding the seizure. Law enforcement agencies are continuing their efforts to track down and arrest the absconding supplier, Hari.
